a fully qualified instructor who specializes in spey casting techniques with both single and double handed rods.
When picking a double handed rod up for the first time it can be
a bit daunting knowing which of the many spey casts and variations to learn first and when time on the rivers chasing the
mighty salmon and various other species of fish caught on the double handed rod is precious you want to be confident
that your line is heading in the right direction.
Techniques covered range from beginner level to advanced
spey casting.
Casts covered are:
- Basic Roll Cast
- Single Spey
- Double Spey
- Snake Roll
- Circle C
- Snap T
- Casting
with a shooting head system
- Traditional medium & long belly spey lines
All tackle can be provided or you can use your own to become more familiar with what you
are going to be using on your fishing trip. I am also able to offer advise on tackle selection.
Being based on a lake with various jetties, I am able to replicate all prevailing
wind directions for both left and right handed casting.
